Daryls’ House

November 14th, 2011

OK, I knew Hall & Oates were cool, but wow!  Check out “Tears of a Clown” with Daryl and Smokey Robinson.  Amazing!  The R&B Conspiracy have even been inspired to learn some of their vintage stuff.  Come down to the Backstage Lounge on Saturday, Nov 26th to hear our version of “Maneater”!

The countdown to Halloween is on! Is your costume ready? To put you in the festive mood, try a couple Halloween tunes:

      1. Monsters Lead Such Interesting Lives
      2. Boris The Spider

Don’t forget about “Werewolves of London” and “Devil Went Down to Georgia” too! “Thriller!?” Got any more? Add to the list please!

Sept is here, last week of summer!

September 1st, 2011

It’s time to slow down for fall… When are the R & B Conspiracy going to do a stripped down version?  Check out this cool Grace Potter clip.

Have you heard?  The R & B Conspiracy is back together again.  We had a fab show in July and we’re ready to kick it again this Friday.  Come down to the Fairview on August 13th.   I heard rumours of a strip tease…

Another Great Show at the Backstage

May 18th, 2011

Thank you to Jesse, Jesse T, and for all of you who came out despite the Canucks loss!  A great night was had by all!  If you don’t believe me, check out some of the photos on our Flickr link.  There may even have been some girl-on-girl action on stage.  (Isn’t there always?)

J-Go Back on Drums

April 27th, 2011

Yes, Jesse is back for another show! We are so lucky to have him play once again. Check out this video of the last time he played! You can’t see him, but he sure sounds good. See you all on May 7th!

Special Guest Drummer Rick Hill

March 30th, 2011

We are so pleased to feature the amazing Rick Hill at our show at the Fairview Pub on April 8th.  Rick is a local R & B legend.  He started drumming at the age of 10 (right around the time when Al, our keyboard player, met him!) and has been rocking ever since.  He is a veteran of the Vancouver music scene, even co-founding Vancouver’s own “Rhythm & Blues Allstars.”  He has shared the stage with James Brown, War, Chuck Berry, Paul Butterfield Blues band and Long John Baldry.  Wow.  We are ecstatic that he is sharing our stage at the Fairview on April 8th.  Don’t miss it!

Missing Andrew

March 10th, 2011

Is anyone out there missing Andrew as much as we are?  Thought I’d post a little something out of Andrew’s best moments.  Strip drumming… it’s very hot.
