We are back with some new tunes and a new guest drummer that you won’t want to miss! Mike Pascuzzi is an experienced drummer who’s been playing and performing for 8 years, and enjoys every living beat of it. Mike has recently graduated from Fraser Academy, enabling him to focus more on his music and career. Influenced by Rock, Funk, Blues and Soul, he’s a great fit for The R&B Conspiracy. “I’m always ready to tear up the skins!”
Don’t forget to come and check him out on Saturday, November 24th.
It’s been a while? Our newest groupie, baby Bowie has arrived safely and we are ready to get back on stage. Add us to your calendars for November 24th. Can’t wait to see you all soon.
So here is the video that inspired our newest oldie, “Everyday People.” So good to hear Sly again! If you want to hear our rendition, join us at the Backstage Lounge in Granville Island on Saturday, February 25th.
Have you heard? The R & B Conspiracy is back together again. We had a fab show in July and we’re ready to kick it again this Friday. Come down to the Fairview on August 13th. I heard rumours of a strip tease…
Thank you to Jesse, Jesse T, and for all of you who came out despite the Canucks loss! A great night was had by all! If you don’t believe me, check out some of the photos on our Flickr link. There may even have been some girl-on-girl action on stage. (Isn’t there always?)
We are so pleased to feature the amazing Rick Hill at our show at the Fairview Pub on April 8th. Rick is a local R & B legend. He started drumming at the age of 10 (right around the time when Al, our keyboard player, met him!) and has been rocking ever since. He is a veteran of the Vancouver music scene, even co-founding Vancouver’s own “Rhythm & Blues Allstars.” He has shared the stage with James Brown, War, Chuck Berry, Paul Butterfield Blues band and Long John Baldry. Wow. We are ecstatic that he is sharing our stage at the Fairview on April 8th. Don’t miss it!
There’s another great show coming this Saturday, Feb 5th too. It’s at the Backstage Lounge in Granville Island and we’d love to see you there. Special guest Jesse Godin on the drums!
Our very good friend and former band mate, Jesse Godin is back for our show at the Fairview Pub on Friday, January 21st. Since his departure from the band, Jesse has become one of the most sought after drummers on the Canadian music scene playing with the likes of recording artists Jesse Farrell, Aaron Pritchett, Johnny Reid, Sugarland, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn, just to name a few. We are so lucky to have him! You won’t want to miss this show!
